The idea of producing the hand printed, hand-made cards all began with the first Christmas Card, ‘Pike. Pike Fishing’. Pike was our first Jack Russell Terrier who died in 2004 and as her Obituary in Waterlog Magazine said, ‘she travelled the length and breadth of the country fishing and terrorising rats.’ That first Christmas card had a run of twenty but so many people asked for the hand printed, terrier based cards that the annual run is now ninety and will probably rise again. That first simple card really started the whole series of cards and with the arrival of Ruffe (Rufus) the idea of the Two Terriers Press arrived. Rufus has been joined by a Parson Jack Russell called Minnow.
The images come from a lifetime’s love of angling, the equipment and tackle used and the venues visited. |
